Dead Silence: Dead Silence was a short story written for one of my Environmental Studies courses in the spring of 2014 at Bucknell University. It is a work of historical fiction, where I researched an existing event in history, the Australasian Antarctic Expedition of 1911-1914. I subsequently wrote a short novella featuring some fictional characters and a fictional twist on this event. Dead Silence highlights some of my creativity, my research skills, and my ability to write in a manner as to draw readers right into the heart of the plot. Please enjoy and feel free to leave comments on the piece.
